Its durability, simplicity, and harvesting strength make it a core part of any tribe’s industrial foundation—especially on Aberration, where vertical mobility and efficiency are key.

• The Ankylo excels at gathering large quantities of metal from rich metal nodes, with a powerful tail swing that hits multiple rocks at once.

• It benefits from weight reduction on metal (up to 85%), allowing it to carry much more per run than most creatures.

• Essential for fueling industrial forges and crafting advanced equipment.

🔥 2. Crystal and Flint Collection

• Besides metal, the Ankylo is very effective at farming crystal and flint, making it great for producing glass, sparkpowder, and gunpowder.

• A single Ankylo can supply much of a base’s early- and mid-game crafting needs.

🦀 3. Incredible Synergy with Karkinos (Aberration Exclusive)

• On Aberration, the Ankylo pairs perfectly with a tamed Karkinos (giant crab):

  • The Karkinos can grab the Ankylo in one claw and another resource dino in the other, then carry and swing it over resource nodes.

  • This allows the Ankylo to harvest metal while being transported, bypassing its slow speed and increasing farming efficiency drastically.

  • Ideal for vertical maps like Aberration, where terrain makes walking resource tames inefficient.

This combo is widely considered one of the most powerful resource-farming strategies on Aberration.
